Turin's Director of Carrier Ethernet Solutions and MEF Director to Speak on Carrier Ethernet Security
PETALUMA, Calif, August 29, 2008 – Turin Networks, Inc. today announced that Ralph Santitoro, Turin's director of Carrier Ethernet Solutions is speaking at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress, (CEWC) which is being held at the MARITIM proArte Hotel in Berlin, Germany, on Sept. 22 - 26. Turin is a leading global provider of innovative Carrier Ethernet, Converged Services and Wireless Backhaul solutions for wireline and wireless network operators and private networks. Santitoro is also a director of the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) and co-chair of the MEF security working group. Santitoro will address the CWEC on security best practices for mitigating threats and vulnerabilities in Ethernet networks on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the main conference. He will also participate in panel sessions covering Ethernet service definitions and Ethernet network-to-network interfaces (NNI) on Monday, Sept. 22, at the MEF full-day workshop prior to the conference.

Session provides an overview of Ethernet network and equipment threats and vulnerabilities, how they affect different types of Ethernet services and how they are mitigated today through best practice implementations.
