New Board Position Further Expands Turin Networks Industry Leadership
Petaluma, CA, July 30, 2008 – Turin Networks, Inc., a leading global provider of innovative Carrier Ethernet, Wireless Backhaul, and Converged Services solutions for wireline and wireless network operators, today announced that Ralph Santitoro, Director of Carrier Ethernet Solutions at Turin Networks, has been elected to the Metro Ethernet Forum's (MEF) Board of Directors. Mr. Santitoro has been a major contributor and thought leader in the MEF since its inception in 2001 and authored the MEF's primer on Ethernet services with over 100,000 copies downloaded.

In addition to his new board position, Mr. Santitoro chairs the MEF's Web Marketing
sub-committee and contributes to the MEF's Carrier Ethernet Security, Mobile (Wireless) Backhaul and Wholesale Access and Interconnect Working Groups, the latter defining requirements for network-to-network interfaces (NNIs) to standardize Ethernet service provider peering agreements.
